The Sunlux and PinkStig Touch

UniMedia and its lifestyle partner Sun International share a common vision in embracing the African pulse and beat in its full splendour and charm with a touch of class and play. South Africa is the home of some of the world’s classiest and trendiest luxury hotels, like the Sunlux luxury hotel collection.

UniMedia through the 2016/17 season hosted and entertained some of South Africa’s most aspiring young women golfers and their families at some of the Sunlux luxury hotels. The Sun PinkStig finale will again be one of those events where special memories will be made and women’s professional golf celebrated.

The Table Bay Hotel hosted the book launch of Sally Little, where many of her past friends and colleagues gathered to celebrate Sally’s contribution to women’s professional golf. UniMedia together with Sun International went one step further by inviting corporate and the Mayor of Cape Town to infuse their magic into the auspicious occasion. This is one of many events that UniMedia together with its lifestyle partner hosted and celebrated SA women’s pro golfers and introduced them to the culture and environment that aligns itself to golf as a lifestyle.

Watch on Supersport HD208 on the 29th November at 17:30 pm the PinkStig ‘Legends and Aspiring Champions’ showcasing Sally’s book launch and her meeting with Lee – Ann Pace. Also the Minister of Tourism endorses UniMedia’s women’s pro golf initiative and finally highlights of the Sun PinkStig Series, which took place at Parkview Golf Course on the 17th and 18th October 2017.

The Table Bay Cape Town

From the moment you arrive in Cape Town, your soul is indelibly marked by the unique authenticity of South Africa’s Mother City. The scenery itself is something to behold; oceans meet mountains in a dramatic clash of breathtaking beauty, while art, wine and cuisine create a fusion of travel experiences in a city known for its cultural heritage and adventurous legacy.

Nature plays a starring role on Cape Town’s stage; even strolling along the vibrant city streets lined with local eateries, boutiques and artisanal crafts, Table Mountain – the New 7th Wonder of the World and the crown of the Cape Floral Kingdom – is only a glance away, while the Cape Winelands are in easy reach and make for an enriching day trip. And straddling the working V&A Waterfront harbour in the shadow of Table Mountain, The Table Bay, as one of the leading luxury hotels in South Africa, is ready to welcome you to the best address in Cape Town.

The Boardwalk Port Elizabeth

Among the rolling hills of the rugged Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth blends historical heritage with modern innovation in a sprawling cosmopolitan city that lives up to its reputation as South Africa’s friendliest destination. As one of South Africa’s oldest port cities, Port Elizabeth’s colourful seafaring history dates back to the days of 15th century explorer Bartholomeu Dias. Named for the wife of Sir Rufane Donkin, it’s also a city that celebrates love on both a grand and intimate scale. And epitomising the city’s romantic Victorian legacy while still retaining its coastal charm, the Boardwalk – the latest addition to the SunLux luxury hotel collection – languishes on the shores of Summerstrand in timeless elegance, and invites you to discover the Friendly City in style.

The Palace of the Lost City , Sun City

Towering above the wild landscape of the Pilansberg Nature Reserve, The Palace of the Lost City invites you to marvel at the primal immediacy of Mother Nature while exploring the lost world of a mythical civilization. Set in the heart of an extinct volcanic crater, this is a destination that thrums with the beat of ancient drums; a silent energy begging you to explore South Africa’s adventurous North West Province. Walk with lions or track rhino on guided tours that will take you within whisper distance of the Big 5. Let your soul soar on a hot air balloon safari, tee off on world-famous greens, or soak up the sun at the Valley of Waves.

The Palace of the Lost City is not only one of the best hotels in Africa, it’s a gateway to a world of unique African adventures.

The Maslow Hotel Sandton

As Johannesburg’s financial hub, Sandton is known as the richest square mile in Africa – a worthy moniker sharply reflected in its modern architecture and fast-paced buzz. But as the one-time home of Nelson Mandela, it’s also a city that embraces South Africa’s story of triumph by celebrating its rich history.

Joburg’s energy is impossible to ignore. From the rejuvenated inner city to the hip Maboneng Precinct and the flatlands of Soweto, ‘Jozi’ – as it’s known to locals – is an urban wonderland of inspiring contrasts. At the heart of the city in Sandton, this luxury business hotel is an oasis of calm in a concrete jungle and perfectly positioned to ease the strains of a busy modern lifestyle. Named for Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs,

The Maslow is one of SunLux’s luxury hotels in South Africa where the balance of body and mind is restored.
