02 February 2017: Kiran Matharu was crowned Tshwane Ladies Open Champ at the Zwartkop Country Club in Pretoria. Her father was emotional as he experienced a rush of memory of Kiran’s struggle over the past 9 years with a blocked hip and finally in 2015, she could start playing professionally again. Today the world celebrates Tiger Woods return to the OMEGA Golf Dubai Classic. Two weeks ago Kiran was fortunate to meet her childhood buddy Rory McIlroy at the BMW SA Open and they had the opportunity to celebrate Kiran’s comeback and choosing the Sunshine Ladies Tour to compete on again.
“Well done to the Sunshine ladies Tour for running such an amazing event and it deserves to be supported at all levels to fast track women’s professional golf in South Africa.” says Dhiren Mehta Co Founder UniMedia and PinkStig
