The PinkStig Dream Team completed their practice rounds at Rondebosch Golf Course in preparation for the SA Women’s Masters taking place from the 19 – 21st January. The event forms part of the Sunshine Ladies Tour Chase to Investec. The City of Cape Town also demonstrated their commitment to the development of women’s professional golf and partnering with World Promotions Sports and Sunshine Ladies Tour and its partners and associates.
Some of the players took the time to reconnect with fellow players and to off course meet with Lee-Anne Pace South Africa’s current leading Professional Player. Stacy Bergman and Ashleigh Buhai fresh off their international duties, expressed their eagerness to make an impression ahead of tomorrows 7.00 am start.
The tournament organisers are anticipating a large crowd turnout as many of the golfing academies and schools in the Western Cape will want to support the likes of Lee-Anne Pace and the huge international presence which includes the likes of UK contender Kiran Matharu, Nora Angehrn and Alexandra Lennartsson. The SA Ladies Women Masters is one of the more celebrated events on the Sunshine Ladies golfing calender as the purse money is the highest at R500 000.
Sunshine Ladies Tour with all its partners, the City of Cape Town and tournament venue hosts, Rondebosch Golf Course are confident that this tournament will demonstrate that women professional golf in South Arica is rapidly gaining grounds both through spectators interest and corporate interest and investment.
