Liezl Klotz on the Role with the PinkStig

Liezl Klotz’s story is unique in the sense that she was one of two women professional golfers that graduated top in their PGA golf professional Class in 2011 which included men golfers.

Outgoing North West President Rina van Zijl sent the following news to WGSA about Liezl. “We are indeed proud of her contribution to the game, first as player for many years and now as a dedicated coach to players of all ages and abilities.”

Liezl said,  “Caryn Louw qualified as the best Graduate for Class 2010/2011 and I came in second.I think it was the first time that the girls graduated above the guys.”

Liezl who has confirmed her participation at the inaugural PinkStig Invitational added: “I’ve been playing golf for more than 30 years; captained and played for North West as an amateur.  I turned pro in 2009 by doing my apprenticeship through the PGA of SA, ever since I’ve coached at Potchefstroom Country Club.  Last year I returned to play competitive golf after a 5 year absence.  I finished 27th on the Order of Merit on the Sunshine Ladies Tour.”
