South Africa’s sporting landscape has forever been changed with the launch of Sally Little’s book, “Capturing the Fire – The Sally Little Story.”
A collection of short stories expertly curated by Adli Jacobs, the autobiography captures the incredibly inspiring and motivating story of Sally’s glittering career.
It is a story that has needed to be told for decades. It is an unfortunate reality that Sally’s achievements have not been recognized to the degree they deserve to be in South Africa. As a multiple winner on the LPGA Tour and a two-time Major champion, Sally should rightfully be held as a true heroine of South African sport. The aim of “Capturing the Fire – The Sally Little Story” is to thrust Sally’s achievements into the limelight, in order for her story to inspire the next generation of South Africa’s aspiring women golfers.
After almost 18 months of hard work, Sally and the team at Unimedia Pro proudly launched “Capturing the Fire” at a lavish event at Sun International’s Table Bay Hotel on Tuesday the 4th of October.
Attended by a number of high profile individuals from the corporate and sporting sector, the Honourable Mayor of Cape Town Patricia de Lille delivered the keynote address in which she urged South Africa to get behind women’s golf in order to create more champions like Sally Little.
“Capturing the Fire – The Sally Little Story” is a short but powerful read, and covers a diverse range of topics. No stone is left unturned, as the thrilling life and times of Sally Little is explored with each turn of the page.
