Meet Rob Dalton
Gaming Relationship Manager at Sun International Management PTY Ltd.
South Africa Gambling & Casinos
Dhiren Mehta, CEO and founder of UniMedia Pro introduced the team to Rob Dalton last year. We enthusiastically presented the Sally Little book launch and golf days to Rob. True to his personality he immediately joined in and poured out ideas to coat our project.
We walked out of that decisive meeting with a completely new marketing and visual strategy. Sally Little had made her mark on him as she has done over the years with everyone that has crossed her path. Rob had conjured an ideal image that included red carpets, bells and whistles, wine and cheese and the best of food and laughter.
Shortly thereafter, he presented the project to Sun International’s CEO, Rob Collins, who later invited us to do a second pitch to cement the proposal. The Sally Little Book launch was promptly adopted by Sun International. They endeavoured to throw everything they had behind her book launch and golf days. In true Rob Dalton fashion, he arranged several guest of honour appearances for Sally Little, before the ink was even dry.
We launched with the Gary Player Invitational, followed by the Nedbank Golf challenge, after that we were off to the cricket at the Super Sport centurion Grounds for the maidens over Ladies event and finally, Cape Town to wine and dine with Sir Ian Botham. Sally would become Rob’s darling and true to Rob Dalton fashion, he presented her, in all her glory. The Sun International was next on the calendar where Sally was honoured and saluted by the pro lady golfers, corporates and players from the Protea Cricket Team. She was able to share some of her dreams and ambitions for the years ahead and more importantly expressed her surprise reception that has caused her heart to skip a beat. Rob Dalton is not just a man of his word; he is man of the people.
His love for Sally Little and his dream to see women’s golf get their fair prize under the South African sun is probably his greatest drive and ambition for 2016/17.
